Wednesday Wishes

Good morning and happy Wednesday. I hope your day is full of peace, happiness, and wonderful wishes.

I have always wanted a changing screen, and this mirrored one from Restoration Hardware is perfect!

This is the perfect mix of dressy and casual!
(JCrew Wynter Sweater)
I feel like it's time I start using a daily eye cream, aside from my everyday moisturizer.
Do any of you have recommendations for good eye or skin products in general?

I love a good cup of hot chocolate in the winter (to be made me with milk - NEVER with water!).

Calming Week

Happy Monday! So I took an unannounced break from the blog at the end of last week to focus my time on my family, but I am back. I hope you all had the loveliest holidays - I certainly did. I am officially in full Christmas-mode (although it's hard to fully be in the Christmas spirit when the weather has been in the 50s and 60s). I need to start the week off on a calm and peaceful foot, therefore I am going to start the week with some lovely Christmas images for inspiration!

Thanksgiving Week

Good morning! Sorry that I didn't post yesterday. We are switching floors in my office and I didn't know I would not have my computer to use! Today is my last day of work before Thanksgiving break and I could not be any happier about it! I am really looking forward to sleeping in, making pies with my mother and sisters, many late nights in front of the fire, long hikes through the woods, and spending time with my friends I have not seen in a while. Last year on Thanksgiving it snowed, it doesn't look like it will this year, but I can wish. Today is also my father's birthday. So I would like to wish him a very Happy Birthday!

Fire built by my father, Mantle decorated by my mother.
Long walks through the woods.

Great nights with friends.

What are you looking forward to this Thanksgiving week?

Scarves and Snoods

Happy Friday lovelies!!! It was so cold this morning during my commute this morning and I realized that I am in dire need of a great new scarf. I love the big, chunky looped scarves and soft, bright-colored cashmere. Here are some of my favorite picks for the season!

Holiday Outfits - Part 1

Good morning!! Last night my sister and I began discussing our holiday outfits. I don't know about you guys, but in our house we like to get dressed up for the holidays, even though it's just our family. Here are some great pieces that can be mixed and matched for the holidays.

This Pop Flower from ban.dō could be worn with dresses or shirts for a fun, feminine addition!
JCrew Sparkler Skirt in Tinsel Lace
The name alone just exudes holidays!

Odette Crystal Bobbi Pin by ban.dō
I am in love with this antique-looking bobbi pin!
Aldo MCINTYDE
This shoe is so fun and from Aldo it's a reasonably-priced version of
some of the hottest shoes from top designers this season.
Ralph Lauren Harper Plaid Twill Tunic
This classic RL top is perfect for the holidays paired with a skirt (as pictured) or pants!

What will you be wearing for the holidays this year?

DIY Holiday Decorations

HAPPY FRIDAY and Happy Veterans Day!!!!!!! We made it to the end of the work week!! This has been an especially long week, and I am really looking forward to the weekend. I have started thinking about the holidays and what I can do differently in my own home, and what new traditions and decorations I can share with my family. Here are some DIY holiday decorations that I want to try this year.

I love antique-looking ornaments, and putting them in a vase is a fun, different way of displaying them.

So cute, simple, and inexpensive for New Years!

I love these as centerpieces of the Christmas brunch or dinner table!
(You could use mason jars as pictured or simple vases)

These sparkled tree branches would transfer well from Thanksgiving to Christmas to New Years.
I love the simple glamour of them!

I love the idea of hanging these ornaments from the chandelier.

Pigmints Holiday Line

Happy Thursday lovelies! This morning I want to introduce you to the lovely and talented Sydney Hewitt!

Sydney Hewitt: Owner, Pigmints
(and mother to the adorable Eli!)
I was introduced to Sydney and her work through a mutual friend and I am so glad that I was. On her site: Pigmints she sells custom-made paper products that are tailor-made for each occasion and client (she hand draws and designs each one and they are completely customizable!). Her products include Greeting Cards, Luggage and Gift Tags, Recipe Cards, and more.

For the holidays I often bake Christmas cookies and gift them to friends and coworkers. This year I am definitely ordering some of Sydney's Recipe Cards with a Christmas Cookie Recipe to include with any cookies I gift! I have shared some of her holiday items below, but you HAVE to check out her blog (here) for more of her beautiful work! If you haven't ordered your Christmas cards yet, check out her designs!

I am still deciding which of her fabulously designed recipe cards I am going to get -
this is the front runner right now!

I love that all of the products on Pigmints can be customized for my needs, and Sydney could not be any sweeter or easier to work with.  Which of her products do you like best?
